Home/Quality

Quality is a record, not a promise

Every dimension we claim has a reading behind it, every part a lot number, and every lot a document set you can file. Here is exactly what gets measured and what gets handed over.

Quality control at Jingcheng Mold means three things in practice: inspection happens during machining rather than only after it, readings are recorded against the drawing revision they were measured, and the resulting records travel with the parts. If a feature cannot be verified with the equipment we hold, we say so at quotation stage instead of discovering it at final inspection.

What gets checked, and how

Capability figures are typical values for the named method, not a guarantee for every geometry. A thin wall, a deep rib or a difficult datum can reduce what is achievable — we state the realistic figure in the quotation.

Checks by stage

  1. Incoming materialBefore cutting

Steel and resin certificates are checked against the ordered grade and filed with the job number.

  2. In-processDuring machining

Critical features are checked as setups complete, so a drift is corrected before the next operation builds on it.

  3. First articleBefore the run

Every ballooned feature on the drawing is measured and recorded once, with the datum scheme stated.

  4. In-run samplingDuring production

Sampling frequency follows your plan, or a default of five parts per shift per cavity.

  5. Final and packingBefore shipment

Final dimensional check, visual check, packing method and label review, then the document set is assembled.

Records you receive

  • First article inspection report with actual readings against the ballooned drawing
  • CMM report stating the datum scheme and the program revision used
  • In-process and sampling records for the lot
  • Material certificates matched to the lot number
  • Certificate of conformity against the drawing revision you supplied
  • Mold trial report with process parameters, for tooling orders
  • Tool history file listing every change after tryout
  • Photographs of the finished cavity, core and ejection layout for tooling orders

When something is out of tolerance

Hold
The lot is stopped; nothing moves to packing while a deviation is open
Find the cause
Tool wear, program error, material batch or setup — identified before any rework
Tell you first
You receive the finding, the reading and the proposed route before we act
Correct or deviate
Rework, remake, or a written deviation with your agreement — never a shipment on assumption
Record the closure
The corrected reading and the reason are added to the lot record

Quality FAQ

Can I see the CMM report before shipment?

Yes. The inspection report is sent for review before the parts are packed. If a reading falls outside the drawing, we tell you before shipment rather than after, and propose either a correction or a written deviation for your decision.

What happens when a dimension is out of tolerance?

The lot is held. We identify the cause, decide whether the feature can be corrected, and send you the finding with a proposed route. Nothing ships on a deviation without your written agreement.

Are you certified to ISO 9001 or IATF 16949?

We state our current certifications in writing with the quotation rather than making a general claim on this page. If a program requires a specific certificate or a customer audit, raise it at the enquiry stage so we can confirm feasibility before you plan around it.

Do you keep records after shipment?

Inspection and material records are retained for three years by default, longer if your contract requires it. Give us the lot number and we can retrieve the record for that shipment.

Ask what a dimension claim actually rests on

Send a drawing and we will tell you which features we can verify, with what equipment, and what the report will contain.
