Home/Industries

Five industries, one process you can audit

What changes between sectors is not the machining — it is the evidence each customer needs. We build the record set into the quotation, so nothing is negotiated after the tool is finished.

We supply injection molds and precision machined parts to automotive, medical device, consumer electronics, industrial equipment and packaging customers. Each sector receives the same process control and a different document set: PPAP elements and per-cavity records for automotive, lot traceability and cleanliness statements for medical, agreed appearance standards for consumer electronics, and drawing-conformance packs elsewhere.

How an order runs, whatever the sector

  1. Drawing and requirement reviewDay 1–3

We read the drawing for manufacturability and ask which records your quality system expects, in writing.

  2. Quotation with documentation linesDay 3–5

Price and schedule are itemised, and any inspection, report or certificate is quoted as its own line so nothing appears later.

  3. Build and in-process checksPer schedule

Dimensional checks happen during machining, not only at the end — a feature found late is a delay, not a fix.

  4. Inspection and record assemblyFinal stage

Actual readings are written into the report templates agreed at quotation, then filed with the material certificates.

  5. Shipment with the record setHandover

Parts and documents leave together; the box label carries the reference that leads back to the record.

If your sector requires a document we do not routinely produce, raise it at quotation stage. Adding a record format after the tool is built costs far more than building it in.

Where sector requirements are explained

  • Automotive: PPAP level 3 as default, per-cavity traceability, change log in the tool history file
  • Medical: lot numbering, per-lot CMM reports, cleanliness statement, explicit statement of which certifications we hold
  • Consumer electronics: face classification, gloss target, defect limit samples, prototype-to-production route
  • Industrial and packaging: drawing conformance, interchangeability checks, cycle-time targets
  • All sectors: material certificates against the lot, not only against the purchase order
Do you take low-volume work outside these industries?

Yes. The process is the same for industrial equipment, packaging and general machinery parts; only the documentation set changes. Tell us which records your quality system expects and we quote them as separate line items.

Which industry documentation differs most?

Automotive is the heaviest because of the PPAP package and per-cavity records. Medical is next, driven by lot traceability and cleanliness statements. Consumer electronics has the lightest paperwork but the strictest appearance standard.

Can one supplier cover both the tool and the parts?

Yes — that is the reason we run mold making and CNC machining on the same floor. Inserts, fixtures and gauges can be made in-house while the tool is being built, so a change does not wait for an outside supplier.
